First Day ARRANGEMENTS

Term starts on Tuesday 4th September 2018

Year 7 need to arrive at school for 8.40am and make their way to the Junior Yard (on the corner of Lucas and Highfield Roads).

The Head of Year 7, will meet the pupils at 8.40am and escort them to the hall for a brief assembly.

The rest of the morning will be spent in form groups; looking at pupils' timetables, discussing how to use the pupil planner (homework diary) and taking a tour of the school. This will be followed by lunchtime.

Lessons will begin in the afternoon.

School will end at the normal time of 3.15pm.

Parents are reminded not to park near the school on either side of Lucas Road as this can cause obstructions for the school buses and can be hazardous for pupils needing to cross the road. 

CHECKLIST FOR PUPILS:

Correct uniform (all labelled with name)

Correct equipment

Correct PE kit (for later in the week - not needed on the first day)

Packed lunch or dinner money

Bus fare (if applicable) and knowledge of travel arrangements, e.g. which bus to catch, who is picking them up, etc.
